Hatha Yoga Teacher training




This is a comprehensive Yoga instructor training, designed in accordance with the 200 hour requirements for registration with Yoga Alliance. At the end of the course you will be a Certified Yoga Instructor from Hatha Yoga Mysore, eligible to register with Yoga Alliance. You will be qualified to teach Hatha Yoga.

Stage 1:Asanas (75 hours)
  • Swastikasana (Auspicious pose)
  • Gomukhasana (Cow's face pose)
  • Veerasana (Hero's pose)
  • Koormasana (Tortoise pose)
  • Kukkutasana (Cockerel pose)
  • Uttanakoormasana (Stretching tortoise pose)
  • Dhanurasana (The bow pose)
  • Matsyendrasana (Spinal twist)
  • Paschimottnasana (West side intense stretch)
  • Mayurasana (The peacock pose)
  • Shavasana (Corpse pose)

Stage 2:Pranayama(30 hours)
  • Interconnection of the mind and prana and their steadying through pranayama
  • Life and death:the five functions of vayu
  • Purification of the nadis and chakras for the retention of prana
  • Nadishodhana pranayama(alternate nostril breathing)
  • Kapalabhati(frontal lobe cleansing)
  • Trataka(concentrated gazing)
  • Practice of kumbhaka during pranayama
  • Practice of bandha with pranayama
  • Suryabhedha pranayama(vitality stimulating breath)
  • Ujjayi pranayama(psychic breath)
  • Seetkari(the hissing breath)
  • Sheetali(the cooling breath)
  • Bhastrika(the bellows breath)

  • Khechari mudra (Attitude of dwelling in supreme consciousness)
  • Vajroli Mudra

  • Shakti chalana Mudra (Attitude of moving the energy)
  • Shambhavi mudra
  • Moola, uddiyana and jalandhara bandhas

Hatha yoga philosophy

Certification
The certification is provided from Hatha Yoga Mysore as per the course norms and details. All Teacher training courses eligible for RYT 200 (Registered Yoga Teacher for 200 hours with Yoga Alliance)

Course Prerequisites

The Teachers' Training Course is a challenging four-week experience, demanding discipline and perseverance. A basic knowledge of yoga postures and philosophy is helpful but not essential. A sincere desire to learn and openness to the teachings of yoga is required.
